On behalf of Daisy, SRAS (Spring River Animal Services) and I, we would like to thank the very kind hearted person who donated funds to the shelter, to cover Daisy's surgery. That was such a great suprise.

The vet said that her tumor was cancerous, but since recovering from her surgery, she seems to be as energetic and happy as I have ever seen her.

This photo was taken of Daisy, during our recent ice storm. We lost power for 4 nights and it was COLD. She wanted to be covered up every time she sat back down (very cute).

As for my jewelry making, I seem to be taking a long sabbatical. The animal shelter has taken over my time, but I am always able to make custom orders.

Cassie photos, for Martha

***CASSIE HAS BEEN ADOPTED.*** Yay !!
Cassie is 25.5 pounds and the vet listed her as a "Basset Mix". She is about 29" long. She measures about 19" from the top of her head to her feet. Her tail-end down to her feet is about 14". Her ears are about 5" long. She has a long snout (with a few scars from her old shelter days), great spots, and a long body with short legs.
She loves attention and walks and treats. She is potty trained and does not need/want to be crated. She does not bark (she can but she just doesn't). She has been fixed, had her rabies shot, heart worm check, "Frontline" and also has a brand new PINK sweater. She is so sweet and affectionate. (The sheets are on the sofa because she had just been fixed.) Scroll down a few posts to see another photo of Cassie.
In the photos: the green pillow is 32" long. The Pomeranian/mix dog is 12 pounds and bigger than a normal Pom. The fence/gate is 36" high. Email me if you have any other questions. KL

Meet my new Foster dog, Cassie.

***ADOPTED***
This is Cassie. I am fostering her for the SRAS. You can read about her by clicking on this link- Spring River Animal Services / Pet Finder. She is potty trained, does not bark, has been very good with my boy dog, who is smaller than her, and she is just soooo sweet. She is being fixed this week. She will be with me until she is adopted to a good home. I took her to the doggy beauty parlor yesterday and am pleased to announce that she did not have one flea or tick.

Presently 20% of all Kristy Lee Jewelry sales will be going to the Spring River Animal Services, towards the purchase of a small shed that will go right next to the dog kennels, to hold their food and blankets. The shelter is adding 2 extra (needed) stalls to the building so that there will no longer be room for the supplies that have been stored inside the kennel area. After this goal is reached, the 20% will go towards other needed supplies.
